The lines started early last night, almost reaching around the block from the Echoplex. Themed shirts and posters adorned the Sunset Blvd. with the crowd waiting to get inside the venue for a sold-out night with GZA, founding member of the Wu-Tang Clan.
Opening band Black Fantastic was a real treat for the night dropping a mix of strong yet soulful hiphop. When GZA, “the Genius” jumped off the stage it was like an explosion of energy took over the crowd raising their hands proud in the air imitating the iconic Wu-Tang seal. But it didn’t stop there, the GZA did not come alone and brought none other than Wu-Tang’s Masta Killa to deliver classic songs that kept the audience jumping with energy to make the ground shake! They sure delivered a reminder that “Wu-Tang Clan ain’t nothin to fuq wit”.
