The Sonics to headline The Regent in Downtown Los Angeles

The Sonics are back with their first album in 48 years! As previously reported, The Sonics will release their first album since 1967, titled This Is the Sonics, set for release March 31 via their own imprint, Revox. As expected, The Sonics have added a Los Angeles headlining date to their recent tour announcement. The Sonics will perform at The Regent in Downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, May 9th. Supporting The Sonics at The Regent are Barrence Whitfield & The Savages.

Tickets to The Sonics at The Regent are priced at $28 – $48 and the show is all-ages. Tickets will go on sale this Thursday, January 29th at 12pm.

The band’s forthcoming release, This Is the Sonics features all original members: Gerry Roslie, Larry Parypa, and Rob Lind. The original trio will be joined by Freddie Dennis (the Kingsmen/Liverpool Five) and Dusty Watson (Dick Dale/Agent Orange). The new Sonics album was produced by Jim Diamond (White Stripes, Dirtbombs).
