The Desert Hearts collective have been keeping it mad real for a minute now. Since starting in 2012 with a 300-person desert party described as a “renegade Mojave gathering” the group has enjoyed a steady increase in popularity. That success is as much due to their budding community’s religious subscription to staying love-oriented as well as their incredible music. If you are down with deep house or if you like EDM but the only exposure you’ve had is whatever play-pressing talent they have on hand at Create that weekend, give these dudes a shot. Their upcoming spring festival is only in its second year, and it’s shaping up to be bigger and better than last year’s successful effort.
Thankfully, if you can’t wait until March, you can check out what Desert Hearts is all about this weekend. On Saturday night Desert Hearts are throwing their Valentine’s Day party. City Hearts LA is at Beyond the Stars Palace in Glendale from 8pm-6am. So, if you are late for the V-Day gift train, cop a pair of tickets here.
