Unkown Mortal Orchestra fyf fest 2015 photos

Cutting early from the FYF Arena stage we crossed over to the Lawn stage to catch at least a few songs from the experimental and always fantastic Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Everyone there were definitely UMO fans, giving out a cheer the second the band came on the stage. With the heat still strong against our backs we let the music be our escape from the unrelenting rays. Unlike at Outside Lands, UMO seemed to have more energy as they played.

Launching into “Like Acid Rain” the crowd all at once pushed forward wanting to be as close as possible. Maybe everyone was starting to finally wake up? So far the day had been a bit lackluster and the fans — although enjoying the music — seemed to have a wet blanket on them. UMO did finally waked them up and brought an energy infused jam to the day.
