against me! Observatory

It was a powerful and inspiring night of music this past Friday as punk rockers Against Me! took the stage at The Observatory. With the occasional crowd surfer, Against Me!’s  positive energy was absolutely intoxicating. Led by the empowering front woman, Laura Jane Grace, she gave a perfectly fierce performance smashing on her guitar and whipping her hair around. Grace is a true sight to be seen live. She bleeds rock ‘n’ roll with a powerful message and you can feel it.

The ladies in the crowd went wild for bassist, Andrew Seward, as he played with his bass on his head! After speaking with a few fans about their take on the show, there was a general consensus that Against Me! is absolutely mesmerizing live: “best damn show”, “they’ve never put on a bad show”, “my life is now complete”, and “a night I will always remember”. Without a doubt, I hole heartedly agree with those sentiments.

Just a couple weeks ago, Against me! released a fantastic live album titled 23 Live Sex Acts via Treble / Ingrooves. Featuring favorite such as “Pints of Guinness Make You Strong”, “True Trans Soul Rebel”, “Thrash Unreal” and more — if you didn’t make it to Against Me!’s Observatory show, you should definitely grab their new liver record.
