With the new year, comes plenty of highly anticipated albums. With that said, Spain’s all-female band, HINDS have shared their debut album Leave Me AloneThe 12-track album will be released on January 8th via Mom + Pop/Lucky Number, but you can stream it now below via NPR.

HINDS caught our attentions early last year. After catching their fierce performance at The Echo, and interviewing vocalist/guitarist Carlotta Cosials, we knew that ladies had something special. With their bubbly garage pop and playful lyrics, songs like “Fat Calmed Kiddos” (which starts off like something you’d hear from Mac DeMarco) and “Warts” will stick to your senses like flies on honey.

From surf rock, doo woo and garage rock, HINDS dish out a variety of feels through their music. It’s no wonder the band have toured with diverse bands from Glass Animals to The Black Lips. Even with all the buzz, HINDS have stayed true to their signature lo-fi sound. In a recent interview with HINDS founding member, Carlotta Cosials, she shared with us just how lo-fi their new album is:

“You can’t imagine how lo-fi lo-fi the album sounds, seriously. Seriously, maybe even too much, you know what I mean? The producer was exactly the same as the demo and it’s like the biggest thing he’s ever done, same as us, Everyone in the studio was learning so you can really tell it is a first album of everyone, but it is great. We had a lot of fun recording it and if you enjoy the stuff we’ve done already, I’m sure you’ll like what we did.”
