Mayer Hawthorne shares sexy new song "Lingerie & Candlewax" From Upcoming Album, And O.C. Gig in May

Los Angeles-based soul and R&B artist Mayer Hawthorne has dropped a new song from his upcoming album Man About Town (due out April 8 via Vagrant Records), and damn, does it ooze sex.

The cut, titled “Lingerie & Candlewax” has a vintage feel to it, and Hawthorne’s own vocals sound a bit like they could be a classic Nate Dogg hook. It’s well crafted and a perfect complement to cruising in your ride, though the lyrics to the song feel like there’s another element you could add to that mix…wink, wink.

Mayer Hawthorne brings the soul on the track and we’re hopeful it’s an indication of what else to expect on his forthcoming album. He doesn’t have an LA proper show date currently schedule, but you can catch him close by at the Observatory in Santa Ana on May 4, the kickoff show to his upcoming tour.
