June 16 — Bob Dylan & His Band at Shrine Expo Hall
Legendary folk singer-songwriter/guitarist Bob Dylan and his band will be treating fans to a marvelous performance at Shrine Expo Hall this June. Hear classic hits and new songs from his latest album and tribute to great American song-writing, Fallen Angels. Joining him is the unstoppable R&B/blues/soul singer Mavis Staples (of The Staples Singers fame and subject of the SXSW/HBO documentary Mavis!). Hear the iconic songstress belt out tunes from her 2016 album Livin’ On A High Note.

June 16 — The Pharcyde ($5 Show) at The Novo
The Pharcyde have been in the hip-hop game since the early ’90s and have always remained true to themselves and their sound. Reggae legends Toots and The Maytals, led by vocalist/frontman Fredrick “Toots” Hibbert, have been on hiatus for a few years and we’re stoked that they’re making a return to the stage. The band is known for extremely high energy shows and sing-a-long hits such as “Pressure Drop,” “54-46 Was My Number,” and “Reggae Got Soul,” to name a few. Put on those dancing shoes!

June 18 — Moses Sumney at The Getty (Saturday’s Off the 405)
Singer-songwriter Moses Sumney had a breakthrough 2015, opening for the likes of St. Vincent and Erykah Badu. His recent single, “Everlasting Sigh,” instantly caught our attention with its rich rhythmic qualities coupled with Sumney’s mesmerizing falsetto voice. June 19 — Beth Orton at Teragram Ballroom
English folktronica singer-songwriter Beth Orton is touching down stateside to share tunes off her new album Kidsticks, which was recorded here in Los Angeles with Andrew Hung of noise-psych group Fuck Buttons. Perhaps her most wildly experimental release to date, the album features unique songs such as “Snow,” “Wave,” and “1973.” Supporting act is Emmy the Great.
