This past Monday at The Satellite, up-and-coming LA rockers, Warbly Jets smashed their set out of the city along with supporting acts The Relationship and Frankie and the Witch Fingers. It was a solid residency night and we highly recommend you don’t miss out on Warbly Jets’ final FREE residency at The Satellite this Monday!
Brian Bell’s (Weezer) side project The Relationship played a nine-song set as one of the opening acts. In his guitar driven songs, Bell spills his guts with heartbreaking lyrics. Bell’s confessional lyrics and folky harmonies in “Please Help Me” are a satisfying contrast that make The Relationship’s songs melodious.
Taking The Satellite stage around 11 p.m., Warbly Jets had an elaborate stage setup of small television sets cluttering the stage; not to mention and upside down American flag as their backdrop. They played a throughly impressive set full of classic rock vibes mixed with synths that added a modernism to their sound. Samuels Shea’s echoing vocals complimented the gritty guitar sounds and fuzzy synths for an all-around spectacle of rock bombast.
Closing up the night were LA garage band Frankie and the Witch Fingers. These guys are always a raucous treat. The band picked up the speed with their fast paced performance. Dylan Sizemore (vocals, guitar) is a powerhouse and is always exciting to watch with an acid light show illuminating the stage.
