The iconic Mexican band Café Tacvba took Los Angeles by surprise with a five-night residency at The Troubadour in West Hollywood. Each night was jamme- packed, sold-out and filled with fans that seemed to know the band’s entire discography not missing one beat during their performance.
These Latin rock legends have been at it since the early 90’s and although there were old-school fans in the place, they continue to attract all kinds of audiences giving thanks to the youth on the spot. They took over the stage like the true stars and pleased the crowd with all-time favorites. Rubén Albarrán, the lead singer of the band, took the mic and dedicated words to the fallen victims of oppression, to the defenders of the environment, to the women victims of violence, to the elder’s wisdom, to the unstoppable migrant human nature and more. Hearing him speak was as captivating as their entire performance. At the end, they wished us all a good night alone or with company, making love or self-love.
