After selling out the Lodge Room back in June, Australian trio Middle Kids are back with a headline show at the Echoplex on December 14th. Their debut album Lost Friends was released back in May, and it’s indie-rock with heart at its finest— melodies that stick with you long after a song is over, and nostalgia-ladden lyrics that run the full gamut of human emotions. Lead single “Edge of Town” has amassed over 19 million streams since its release.

With honest lyrics that touch on anxiety, loneliness, and navigating the unknown, Middle Kids’ songs make you feel okay about not being okay, while simultaneously imbuing hope and a sense of belonging. Pairing vulnerable lyrics with guitar parts that could fill stadiums, tracks like “Bought It” and “Mistake” are perfect for belting out in the car, windows down and nothing but the open road in front of you.

Middle Kids is comprised of lyricist (and classically-trained piano player) Hannah Joy, multi-instrumentalist Tim Fitz, and Sydney Conservatorium of Music in Jazz Performance graduate Harry Day. They’ve toured with Cold War Kids and Ryan Adams, and even won a spot on the bill for Iceland Airwaves.

Don’t miss your chance to see Middle Kids play your new favorite indie rock anthems. And if you won’t take our word for it, trust someone who considers himself a fan— Sir Elton John.

Tickets to Middle Kids at the Echoplex are priced at $15 Advance / $20 Day of Show. The show is 18 and over. Tickets are on sale now.
