Experimental electronic artist Bayonne (aka Roger Sellers) just announced a North American headline tour with a Los Angeles stop at The Echo! Catch Bayonne live at The Echo on May 7!
Bayonne is touring in support of his sophomore album Drastic Measures out Feb. 22. The album is said to be a “lesson in loop and layering artistry with Sellers crafting each song with meticulous precision.” If it’s anything like his debut album, Primitives, expect some beautifully crafted electronic sounds of splendor.
Bayonne just released the song and video for title track “Drastic Measures.” Check it out below!
We last caught Bayonne in 2016 at the Echoplex. “His sampling and looping techniques were so fluid and his dancing so carefree, it felt like we were in his bedroom studio helping him to create all this music from scratch. Every inch of his body pulsed with the rhythm, so much so that he let it pull him down to his knees, where in order to mix, he’d have to strain to poke his eyes over the top of the board. Bayonne was exciting to watch because he respected every sample, every sound mattered.”
Tickets to Bayonne at The Echo go on sale Friday, Jan. 18 at 10am. Tickets are priced at $12 Advance / $15 Day of Show. This show will sell out so grab tickets while you can!
