Triptides are here to whisk us away to paradise. Today marks the debut of the video for their brand new single “Nirvana Now,” which you can watch exclusively on Grimy Goods just below. It features all kinds of live footage, which is a fitting advertisement for their next tour. The group, led by Glenn Brigman and local to Los Angeles, will be traveling around Europe and eastern North America soon; see the full schedule of dates below.
“’Nirvana Now’ was conceived in the California desert. The band had gathered with several friends to partake in a musical ritual revolving around psychedelic music. Suddenly we were overcome by the elements and drenched by a freak thunderstorm that abruptly ended the performance of the festival’s headlining band. Everyone was moved by the experience and the evening took on a Nirvana-like vibration, inspiring the song.” – Glenn Brigman
“Nirvana Now” describes spiritual instant gratification with earnest. To reach the level of enlightenment that Triptides has, simply follow Brigman to the place “where the ocean touches the sky.” Interwoven guitars bleed into crashing cymbals and steady hums for a noisy journey within—don’t let your earthly concerns weigh you down while you listen.
