Music Festival season is in full swing! How’s your skincare game going? One thing many music festival-goers fail to pack, or even consider, is skincare products. And I’m not just talking about SPF! I’m going to share with you 7 skincare products that have made my music festival experiences all the more better.

When you’re at a music festival, you’re literally spending anywhere from 5-12 hours outdoors per day. And if you’re hitting a Southern California music festival like Coachella or Desert Daze, the time spent outside can be brutal on your skin.

Treat your skin well while at a music festival with these 7 skincare products you need to take with you the next time you’re feeling those festival vibes.

beautycounter countersun after sun cooling gel for music festival packing

1. Countersun After Sun Cooling Gel by Beautycounter

When spending countless hours under the sun, you need to hydrate that skin! I always pack Beautycounter’s Countersun After Sun Cooling Gel in my music festival backpack. The gel goes on light and feels nice and cool. And don’t even get me started on its lovely monoi scent! Dependent on how many hours I’m pulling outside at a music festival, I like to apply Countersun twice: once after a few hours under the sun, and then again after sundown.

* Pro Tip: Get started on a daily skincare routine. This is key, especially if you’re an outdoors person such as myself. I us *Beautycounter’s Countertime Collection. Made with plant-derived Retinatural Complex, it’s an effective way to firm, brighten, and plump the skin. If you want those youthful vibes — Get. On. This.

Oars & Alps Cooling + Cleansing Wipes for music festival packing

2. Oars & Alps Cooling + Cleansing Wipes

These are a must for music festivals, especially if you’re festival camping: Oars & Alps’ Cooling + Cleansing Wipes! I always have these in my bag at every outdoor concert or music festival. We even take these camping! They feel absolutely fantastic! One side of the large facial wipe has Arctic Blue Ice Crystals for exfoliating and removing dirt. The other side has a cooling caffeine boost.

Pro Tip: You gotta get Oars & Alps’ Wake Up Eye Stick with caffeine. It gets rid of my puffy eyes asap, and feels wonderful.

Bulgarian Rose Phytonutrient Elixir by LATHER - music festival packing list

3. Bulgarian Rose Phytonutrient Elixir by LATHER

I am addicted to this stuff! I use LATHER’S Bulgarian Rose Phytonutrient Elixir on the daily as a mid-day refresher for my face, but I also pack it in my backpack whenever hitting a music festival. Made from organic Bulgarian rose and organic Madagascan ylang-ylang, the light mist smells and feels lovely. It’s a great way to protect skin from the drying effects of the environment.

Pro Tip: Don’t get caught with cracked lips at Coachella. Protect your lips from the desert sun with LATHER’s Citrus Lip Balm Broad Spectrum SPF 15. I love this stuff!

Body Glide Original Anti-Chafe Balm for music festival packing

4. Body Glide Original Anti-Chafe Balm

Tall, short, skinny, curvy — when at a music festival, we’re all susceptible to chaffing. With so much sweating under the sun, dancing in tight quarters — you’re bound to chafe with all that walking and moving. I like wearing dresses to music festivals, but I don’t like the chafing that goes on between the top of my thighs. Trust, I’ve had some painful experiences, and Body Glide’s Chafe Balm is the best defense against music festival chafing. Super compact, I opt for the 0.80 oz size when going to a music festival.

Pro Tip: Don’t bother with Body Glide For Her or their Foot Glide. They all do the same thing as the original Body Glide Anti-Chafe Balm.

Native Coconut & Vanilla Deodorant - music festival packing list

5. Native Coconut & Vanilla Deodorant

Hands down, the best aluminum-free deodorant made from safe and simple ingredients. Native’s Coconut & Vanilla Deodorant smells like a tropical vacation. Smells so good, I wanna eat it (but don’t eat it)! It’s light, goes on easy and best of all, it does the job of protecting against odor and wetness.

Pro Tip: Native has so many scrumptious scents. Get their Travel Sample Pack to try a variety of scents. I also prefer this size when going to a music festival. You can also pick up a singular Native Coconut & Vanilla travel size deodorant at Target for $2.99!

CBD All Natural Healing Salve by Canyon Collection for music festival packing

6. CBD All Natural Healing Salve by Canyon Collection

I don’t know about you — but between all the walking, dancing, heat, sun and adult beverages at a music festival — I always feel like I got hit by a truck the following morning. My body aches and my old injuries hurt even more. Canyon Collection’s All Natural Healing Salve with CBD is the perfect rub to sooth your aches and pains. With 200mg of pure nano CBD isolate derived from hemp, this healing salve will help ease inflammation.

Pro Tip: Pack along Canyon Collection’s CBD Reef Safe Sunscreen. Get the 3 ounce travel size!

8. Disinfecting Wipes & Sanitizer

With all the sweat, skin-to-skin interactions and endless high five — you’re constantly sharing germs with others at Coachella. I’ve always been a bit of a germaphobe and have carried sanitizer for over a decade. Once I became a mother, I always had a travel pack of disinfecting wipes in my bag, especially at music festivals. Both come in handy when shaking hands with new people (you never know where that hands has been). And with porta-potties being the main source of bathroom use at music festivals, you’d be doing yourself a discursive not carrying disinfecting wipes and sanitizer. Wipe down that toilet seat, wipe down common touch surfaces at your hotel or rental. I like these for hand sanitizing wipes, and these for surface sanitizing wipes.
