LA starlet DYLLAN has just released her highly anticipated, debut EP not your goddess. The collection consists of four songs that wonderfully illustrate the eclectic songwriter’s ethos, essence, and mastery. Listen below.

To celebrate the drop, DYLLAN performed at Hollywood’s magic den, Madame Siam. She drew the crowd in closer with each dreamy, tantalizing melody. DYLLAN stood among her synths and a laptop, holding her electric guitar for some and mastering the stage without. She has a mystic, meditative quality to her tone that is at once alluring and bold, entrancing us with her unexpected melodies and rhythms. The electronic songbird danced throughout each of her songs, gently tapping away and playing her guitar with graceful ease.

Each song on not your goddess contains a classic DYLLAN undertone, weaving experimental waves into a colorful pop palette. In what is perhaps her most mainstream tune on the EP, ‘Devotion’, it’s easy to feel like you’re inside of a female pop song that’s time-traveled from the 90s and finally surfaced in 2019 via the sparkly muse, DYLLAN.

As she grooved in her own world, DYLLAN let us in on her most intimate song, ‘My Fears.’ She put away the electronics for the EP’s final track and told us her story about misplaced compassion and loyalty.

So it was Christmas time and I was pacing around Brooklyn, reeling, imagining if I just bought him a Christmas tree maybe he’d be okay. ‘Try to make it seem like we just need some light…as a consolation as if I was in the wrong…'” DYLLAN explains, citing the lyrics. “I was trying to pinpoint a particular incident; some transgression I could fix instead of the basic fact that he just didn’t want to be with me.”
