Grouplove has shared the video for new single “Youth” off their upcoming album HEALER and once again the Los Angeles indie-rock outfit has put forth a stellar anthem. The film, centered around an older woman (Grace Zabriskie) attempting to reconnect with some long-forgotten youthfulness in herself vis-a-vis Hannah Hooper and Christian Zucconi’s urgings, propels itself forward on a soothing but anxious matrix of dreamy pop melodies.

“Youth” compresses Grouplove’s often rambunctious alt-pop into a blend of riveting disco and synth tones, pressing all the eager and bustling sentiments that rush beneath Hooper and Zucconi’s yearnings into a triumphant and steady rush. The film offers up that journey in a visual odyssey as Zabriskie’s character enters a hidden area behind a curtain inside a convenience drug store, finding something in herself–all sublime and shimmering–beyond it.

Grouplove’s new album HEALER is out March 13, pre-order here. They’ll be going on tour in support of the album with a sold-out show at the Observatory in Santa Ana and a “secret” Los Angeles show this Friday, March 13.
