DeathbyRomy has shared “Come And Play With Me,” her discordant rock anthem and contribution to the soundtrack of the upcoming film Promising Young Woman, written/directed by Emerald Fennell. A blend of heady-industrial atmospherics and grinding rock, it’s no surprise that both DeathbyRomy and Fennell bonded over their love of Nine Inch Nails deep-cuts, as the song that emerged out of the collaboration takes her blisteringly dark-pop sentiment to another level.

There’s a profound sense of euphoria and pain that sit embattled at the center of the track’s electronic shrieks and concussive bass, one that seems to perfectly align with the film’s “twisted tale of trauma and revenge.”

The track is also a potential contender for Best Original Song at the Oscars, as the 20-year-old singer/songwriter wrote the song with Andy Rosen. And if that wasn’t enough, the soundtrack for the film also features another song by Romy — this time a cover of the 1982 hit by The Weather Girls “It’s Raining Men.”

You can pre-order the soundtrack to Promising Young Woman here, which includes DeathbyRomy’s new song “Come And Play With Me.” Visit her website and Instagram to stay updated on new releases and announcements.
