Cold War Kids have shared a roaring new anthem of a single from their upcoming new album New Age Norms 3 with the release of “Wasted All Night.” Between the thunderous wail of frontman Nathan Willet and company, and the collapsing sonics of tossed pianos and smashing riffs falling on all side, the song muses over our shared needs as people to connect with one another.

Romanticising on a night out — Willet croons with gospel fervor a colorful scene filled with strangers and overflowing with ecstatic love, fueling the euphoric crescendo of every chorus. The music video for the song, directed by Nikoli Partiyeli in a mind-boggling 24-hours, captures the restless energies of the song perfectly: raging tempestuously until the adrenaline cuts-out, leaving Willet wandering the dim lit streets of Los Angeles crooning into the night.
