Katzu Oso at Grand Performances

Latinx musician Paul Hernandez, better known by his stage name Katzù Oso, delivered his vivacious and dreamy musical concoctions at Grand Performances this past Saturday. Serenading fans in both English and Spanish, Katzù Oso dropped delicious servings of colorful indie pop full of soft lush synths, drums and glistening guitar. Let’s just say it was a vibe! There’s a calming quality to Katzù Oso’s music. With melodies that lull you into a cozy cocoon of sounds and loving words, the wistful musician can also charm you into bustin’ an 80s groove with his more upbeat synthwave offerings. The adoring crowd swooned and soaked in all the good vibes, while some gave it their best 80s side-step-and-clap.

Opening for Katzù Oso, was LA native Irene Diaz. With a saccharine voice that perfectly hits all the sweet spots, Diaz was a warm sight to see and hear live. Donning angel wings, we found the fashion statement rather suiting to her angelic vocals. With so many songs about love and relationships, witnessing Irene Diaz live was like a warm embrace, full of love.
