Amindi shares another enthralling music video with “slideshow” featuring Jermtown

Amindi shares another stunning music video with "slideshow" off her Nice EP

Amindi has returned to revel in the limelight with another stellar music video, this time for her song “slideshow” off her debut Nice EP. Directed by Dylan McGale the video follows one particular fan’s obsession over Amindi’s music — played by another LA-based artist jermtown — as she poses for covershoots for “Rolling Stoned” and “Papers.”

While we no doubt jermtown’s as big as fan as anyone of Amindi’s velvet vocals and alluring R&B creations, the video draws a bit of a comparison between temporary obsession and true love. “Baby you don’t want me; you jus want me cause i’m next,” Amindi snaps at the start of the song. The video plays with the idea of both a lover and a fan as two different relationships that can be infected with a superficial kind of devotion or affection.

But the video also shows once again Amindi’s love of pairing her engrossing music with equally captivating music videos. Like the stunning visuals and intoxicating swagger that came with her video for “haircut”, her latest video visualizes the kind of meteoric come-up that Amindi has been riding since the release of her EP last year. Not to mention the giddy excitement we as fans can develop when we see artists we care about getting the kind of attention their art deserves.

Amindi will be playing The Novo in Los Angeles on May 21 in support of Saba. Visit Amindi’s website, Twitter, and Instagram to stay updated on new releases and tour announcements.
