Ghanaian singer / rapper, Ata Kak performed in Los Angeles for the first time ever at there Lodge Room in Highland Park. The night was strongly anticipated and sold-out before the date of the show. People waited outside hoping to find tickets, however, the space was full of fans and music-curiousos since before doors.

Ata Kak’s vibrant energy completely enamored the audience. Accompanied by a band, the artist performed in the language of Twi. Ata Kak’s unique blend of highlife and hip-hop carried energetic electronic melodies with dashes of techno. The stage became his own dance floor. Ata Kak ended each song with a big smile and thanked the crowd every time.

A highlight of the night was when Ata Kak provoked a guided sing-along of his song “Obaa Sima” from the album of the same name, teaching the crowd how to follow. Ata Kak is currently on tour and his music is beyond recommended to check out, especially live.
