Massachusetts native and multi-dimensional R&B vocalist Raiche is never shy about owning up to her feelings or expressing them in a song. Penning honest, smooth and soulful, R&B, the charismatic young artist embeds personality, wit and a realness to her music that carries through with vulnerability and strength. Her latest single, “Fool” exemplifies her talent as a frank, yet poetic, songwriter and focuses on that point in a relationship where one person has grown beyond their partner and realizes the relationship never truly satisfied them in the first place. Raiche’s new single will appear on her upcoming debut album, Loveland, dropping later this year.

“‘Fool’ is simply an honest and heartfelt break up song,” notes Raiche. “I talk candidly about my needs and why this person was constantly coming up short for me and how I can’t put up with it anymore because I’d really just be playing myself. The song is empowering and an ode to anyone who loves themselves enough to release anything or anyone that no longer serves them.”

Leaving before things get bitter, Raiche notes she still wishes the best for her ex, but his stifling energy is not something she wishes to be subjected to anymore. Paired with a stylized and sultry music video, Raiche sings at first in an ethereal, white and lacy outfit with a green, fertile backdrop. Then, she climbs inside a derelict bus, donning a tight two-piece outfit and long, black leather coat as she claims back her independence from a deadbeat romance. Ending on a cliffhanger note “to be continued …” Raiche sets herself up for a string of cinematic music videos connected through a central theme or plot.

Growing up in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, just two hours outside of Boston, Raiche found music at an early age in part because of her mother’s role as a worship leader. Raiche would accompany her mother to choir/music practice, often stepping up to the mic to sing alongside her mom, and was soon starring in church and school plays. Keeping a touchpoint with music, even when life led her down different paths, Raiche never quite lost sight of her aspirations through multiple life changes.

Before releasing her own original work, she would record covers of popular songs and found success with her breakthrough release of “Money Pies” in 2018. An introduction to songwriter Prince Charlez (Beyoncé, Usher, and Rihanna) led him to signing the talented vocalist to his recently launched Island Prolific imprint at Atlantic Records. Since then, she has gone on to be named one of Billboard’s 15 Hip-Hop & R&B Artists to Watch in 2021, featured as a YouTube “Artist on the Rise,” and been listed as one of iHeartRadio “On The Verge Artist.”

“Fool” is the follow-up to Raiche’s 2021 singles “Burn Your Clothes” and “Pick a Side (Remix)” with Ty Dolla $ign. Her debut album, Loveland, drops later this year with more new music and music videos to come.
