After releasing her debut album last year London-based artist Shygirl is back with plans to release a deluxe version titled Nymph_o, sharing a rework of “Heaven” (feat. Tinashe) alongside a new music video. Shygirl will also be heading out on the road announcing tour dates that include stops at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on Mar. 24 and Music Box in San Diego on Mar. 25. Effectively a way to remix and collaborate with a killer cast of fellow artists, the deluxe version of Nymph will include features from the likes of Björk, Arca, Erika de Casier, Eartheater, and others!
The new version of “Heaven” carries much of the same current as the original. Buoyed as they are by Shygirl’s effervescent vocals and gloaming bedroom-pop melodies. But the rework transforms the still somewhat subdued flow of the song and gives it a far more crystalline and pop-hook-filled release. Against a collection of melodious beats and glossy synths, her vocals become intertwined with Tinashe’s. Together the duo breathes a liveliness into “Heaven” and its breathy pleas, waxing romantic heartache on the remix.

The new version of “Heaven” also comes with a music video that tries to visualize the gauzy beauty that radiates from the song. Opening with a shot of Tinashe being stood up and then dumped over text, the camera hones in on a vivid blue teardrop that falls from her eye and enters a world of saturated wonder. Inside the teardrop, we’re given a glimpse of this tropical watery paradise, where both Tinashe and Shygirl appear as aqueous bodies dancing to the song in a video that’s as surreal as it is enthralling.
