The badass rockers known at The Kills, one part Alison Mosshart and one part Jamie Hince have been dropping hints via their Instagram about something arriving on Tuesday, July 25th. The band’s first teaser post was a slick photo of the duo alongside what appears to be an old Oldsmobile parked near the old 6th Street Bridge in Downtown Los Angeles (a scene from their “Doing It To Death” video). The rockers followed a couple of days later with a new post of the two seated in chairs with a caption that read: “you taste just like new york.”

Are The Kills releasing a new album? Only time will tell, but what we do know is that the band has yet to drop a new album since the release of Ash & Ice (2016). In 2020, The Kills released their Little Bastards rarities album, which featured 20 B-sides and demos that the band made from 2002 through to 2009. It’s easy to assume that The Kills will indeed reveal new album details for 2023 or 2024 very soon. Perhaps on July 25th, we’ll get our first taste of new Kills music.

Are The Kills touring in 2023 and 2024? We were lucky enough to catch The Kills’ special set of one-off Los Angeles show at The Mayan in Downtown L.A. in June of 2022. It was the band’s first show in 4 years, and it was absolutely riveting. The Kills followed their L.A. gigs with two more shows in New York. It’s clear their love for both cities runs deep, but we think the band is not only gonna announce Los Angeles and New York shows soon, but also a full-fledged tour, especially if they’re releasing new music. After all, it’s been five years since the duo did a proper tour. Stay tuned!
