Echo Park Rising (EPR) makes its return on Saturday, September 9th across various venues and businesses throughout Echo Park, and don’t worry, this is the real thing, it’s not no Echo Farce Rising. The last EPR took place in 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic. Unlike past years, the 2023 event will not be a three-day festival. However, staying true to the East Los Angeles music community, the event will remain free for all ages (some venues are 21+), delivering live music, art, eats, and drinks.

Starcrawler is set to headline Echo Park Rising at the Echoplex. The festival will also feature a comedy performance by Patton Oswalt at Sick City Records, a Cryptids Drag Show at Spacedust, the Semi-Tropic will host two stages, both indoor and outdoor, Sticky Rice will have the indoor venue, Spirit House and a beer garden/outdoor stage in their parking lot, and the Echo + plex + patio will be poppin’ all day and night, closing with a 50th anniversary celebration of David Bowie’s Aladdin Sane release at the Echoplex. This is just a snack. See the full course for all the fun at Echo Park Rising 2023.
