Jesse Jo Stark, the rock sensation hailing from Los Angeles, has released a lush new single, “Fallout.” The track, released ahead of Stark’s upcoming L.A. show at the El Rey on Oct. 15, shines with her tender vocals, a side we haven’t seen in a while from the ferocious baddie.

“Fallout” arrives as Jesse Jo Stark‘s first new offering since her debut full-length album, DOOMED. The song serves as a heartfelt homage to her country roots and the early songs that ignited her career.

While “Fallout” is somber, its beauty is undeniable. It offers a quiet reflection on the profound loneliness that follows heartbreak. Stark’s vocals are gentle, almost like a lullaby. However, they’re also striking and take center stage.

With the instrumentation stripped down to just a delicate melody in the background — an acoustic strum, a touch of keys, and lulling strings — Jesse Jo Stark earnestly waxes on a love that has reached the end of its cycle. The lyrics are profoundly confessional and, without a doubt, resonate.

This has been hell / I live in hell / don’t tell me the truth / about me and you / just listen to me…your voice still haunts me but you’ll never know / don’t buy me a ring / the scariest thing about being all alone / clouds grow / I don’t know how not to have you around / the beautiful thing about the things that come out your mouth fallout / I don’t know how not to have you around.

With such vulnerable lyrics, Jesse Jo Stark creates a sincere departure from her recent material (specifically DOOMED) and once again invites fans into another facet of the unique being that is Jesse Jo Stark.

Jesse Jo Stark’s upcoming Los Angeles show at the El Rey Theatre on Oct. 15 will wrap her debut headlining international tour, which included stops in the UK and Europe. Up next, Stark will tour Asia supporting YUNGBLUD. Opening for Jesse Jo Stark at the El Rey will be Seb Torgus & Oswald.
