Weezer will spend 2024 touring North America in celebration of the 30th anniversary of their first album with the announcement of the Voyage to the Blue Planet Tour. Tickets for the new dates will go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 15th at 10am local time. Fans can try their luck through a variety of presales that begin a few days earlier on Wednesday, March 13th. The Voyage to the Blue Planet Tour will find the quartet performing at some of the biggest venues in North America — a testament to their rise over the last three decades. They will make stops in Toronto, New York, Nashville, Dallas, and Vancouver. The final three nights of their tour will see them traversing California with performances at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, San Francisco’s Chase Center, and Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

Weezer will also perform an intimate anniversary show ahead of the tour at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles on March 15th with Dogstar. A call back to their March 1992 appearance at Raji’s — a moment that also birthed the band’s name — the night will be dominated by a playthrough of Weezer (Blue Album) and the appearance of special guests.

Boasting timeless hit tracks like “Buddy Holly” and “Say It Ain’t So” the first album Weezer put out left the 90s rock heroes mark on the decade. The record’s resounding success both critically and commercially can still be measured in the fervent nostalgia it induces — which will no doubt reach a fever pitch when they perform it front to back for fans across North America.

In addition to last year’s Indie Rock Roadtrip, which featured a roll call of iconic bands from Modest Mouse and Spoon to Future Islands joining them on the road, Weezer has consistently proven themselves a banger of a live band over the years. The VIP Package presale starts on Wednesday, March 13th at 12pm local time. Don’t worry about needing a presale code for these Weezer tickets. Citi® Cardmember Presale

The Citi® Cardmember presale opens on Wednesday, March 13th at 9am local time. A Citi card is required for this presale as the first 6 digits of either your Citi credit card or Citibank Debit Card will serve as the presale code. Weezer Artist Presale

There are two different artist presales that fans can take advantage of to get Weezer tickets. What Are Official Platinum Tickets?

If you see expensive tickets that are not VIP packages, those are official platinum tickets. These tickets are offered well over standard ticket prices, which is unfair to fans. The Event Organizer(s) have priced these tickets according to their market value (aka dynamic pricing). In other words, ticket pricing can go up or down and usually goes up.

Official platinum tickets do not include VIP packages. The only positive thing about them is that they make buying floor or front-row tickets to a high-demand concert easy if you’re willing to shed the extra cash. They can sometimes be purchased during a presale without a presale code. Availability and pricing for official platinum tickets are subject to change based on demand.

Pro Tips When Buying Your Tickets

First, on the day of the presale or general onsale (whichever you prefer), login to your Ticketmaster account (go to my account or sign in located on the upper right corner of the page) 30 minutes ahead of the sale time. If you don’t have one, create one now.

Be sure to add your billing info (aka credit card info) before jumping into the digital queue for a quick check-out. Once the presale starts, remain in the digital queue. Only use one browser window because using multiple browsers or devices and multiple accounts with the same phone number can result in errors. Trust, it’s happened to us before! Don’t refresh your page, do be patient, don’t leave your page, do get those tickets!

What To Do If Tickets Are Sold Out?

If tickets sell out, your other option is to buy them via online resellers like VividSeats or StubHub. When all else fails, we prefer these resell options because both offer a 100% Guarantee. You can also purchase resale tickets through Ticketmaster’s resale program. Just search for the concert or event you want to attend, and see if any resale tickets are available. We recommend comparing the three options to determine which one works best for you.

Also, more standard tickets are often released in the weeks leading up to the show date. We’ve seen it with Oasis, Nine Inch Nails, BLACKPINK, and many more.
