Ahead of Tame Impala’s LA shows, the band will kick off their tour with a Halloween show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. With the majority of tour dates in California, in addition to Tame Impala’s two LA shows, the Deadbeat tour will also make stops in Chicago, Austin, San Diego, and Oakland.
It’s pretty wild how big Tame Impala has grown. Fifteen years ago, Grimy Goods covered Tame Impala at The Echo, when it was still an independent venue. This was their first show in Los Angeles, and the mostly barefoot, longhaired foursome from down unda played on a sleepy Monday night as the opening act. The show was free.
