Remi Wolf is getting her hands dirty to celebrate her new album. She’s throwing a free Mud & Sud Album Release Party in Los Angeles this Friday, Oct. 9, the same day her third album, Mud, arrives via Island Records.
The party promises DJs, merch, mud, suds and ice cream, and it’s taking place at the Los Feliz Car Wash, which makes the “Mud & Sud” name a lot more literal than you might expect.

About Remi Wolf’s New Album ‘Mud’
Mud is Wolf’s third album, following Juno and Big Ideas, and features 11 tracks, including the singles “Twiggy,” “Bottle” and “I Won’t Cry.” Wolf made the album with longtime collaborator Jared Solomon, starting with early sessions in Nashville before moving to Big Bear, New York’s Electric Lady Studios and finally Joshua Tree. The band focused on live instrumentation and recording together in the same room, with Wolf often taking her place behind the drum kit herself.
Fittingly, the video for “I Won’t Cry,” the yearning ballad Wolf shared on Sept. 25, finds her rolling through a drive-through car wash as the mist turns into rainbows. Wolf co-directed the clip with Milo Nichols and has called the song, written and recorded in about three hours during one of the album’s first Big Bear writing trips, one of her favorites she’s ever written.
With Mud, Wolf enters a new creative chapter rooted in collaboration, instinct and songwriting that trusts itself, with eleven songs that are warmer, more spacious and deeply human. As the party flyer puts it: let’s clean you up.
We’ve been riding with Remi Wolf since well before her meteoric rise. Back in August 2020, we were already hyping her boisterous single “Monte Carlo”, which arrived just weeks after her five-track EP I’m Allergic to Dogs!Six years later, she’s celebrating her third album right here in Los Angeles.
If you’ve never caught Remi Wolf live, her energy is the whole point. At Outside Lands 2021, she packed the meadow despite one of the earliest sets of the day, came out blazing with “Rufufus” into “Liquor Store,” and had fans around us predicting she’d be a headliner soon. They were right.

A few months later, we caught the first of her two sold-out nights at The Fonda Theatre in January 2022. Fans were lined up around the merch table and up the stairs for tees with her dog Juno on the front before Grace Ives even opened. Once Wolf hit the stage with a live band and psychedelic visuals projected on the walls, the room turned into a full-on dance party, with the “Rem Jobs” singing every word (riffs included) of “Liquor Store,” “Sexy Villain,” “Photo ID” and “Buttermilk.” She even led the crowd in “Happy Birthday” for a fan named Abby. If the Mud & Sud party carries even half that energy, it’s worth the trip to Los Feliz.
Can’t make it Friday? Wolf returns to The Fonda Theatre the very next night, celebrating 100 years of the Fonda on Oct. 10, ahead of a stop at New York’s Webster Hall on Oct. 13. The show is featured in our Best Shows of the Week column.
Pre-order Mud ahead of its release this Friday, and RSVP for the release party.
