As their US tour nears after big appearances at Coachella and other shows around the world, Irish rap trio Kneecap are cutting through the noise of controversy and pushback with their newest single, “The Recap” featuring Mozey. The group shared on their social media, “We will be droppin a video and full release soon but for now the only place to listen is on soundcloud …”

Kneecap – following member Mo Chara’s “terror offense,” after British police stated he waved a Hezbollah flag at a concert in November 2024 in London, the group responded saying, “We deny this ‘offense’ and will vehemently defend ourselves.” – have seen a groundswell of support. Numerous artists, including Massive Attack and Fontaines D.C., have applauded their activism, and fans have shown their support at big shows, such as a recent surprise sold-out gig at the 100 Club in London, ahead of their Wide Awake Festival headline spot, which saw some 25,000 people in attendance.

With all that in mind, it’s no surprise that “The Recap” is a biting response to the terror offense, coming in roaring with thundering drums and a beat drop as in-your-face as the group’s shouts. While the track is similar to their past work, the electronic production and onslaught of verses in the Irish language hits harder given the context of their response.

The second half of “The Recap,” in particular, somehow ups the intensity, leading to a final beat drop galvanized by thick synths buzzing like mechanical bees. And although the song begins with a news report on their offense, they end it by stating “Free Palestine,” reaffirming they have no plans on censoring themselves or backing down in any capacity, within music or otherwise.

Kneecap are scheduled to embark on their U.S. tour on October 1, 2025. The group’s entire tour is sold out.
