After a 10 year hiatus, the interchangeable Canadian group, Godspeed You! Black Emperor is back together, this time with a permanent nine-band line-up featuring Efrim Menuck, Mike Moya, and Mauro Pezzente as the original members. The band is known for their heavy use of droning guitars followed by anticipated buildups made halfway through their lengthy soundtracks. On Saturday, September 14, they will be headlining a show at the Fox Theater Pomona along with supporting band, Gate. Their live performances are said to be a religious experience, emphasized with film loop projections. You don’t want to miss out!
