Who would have known that solely by working at a pawn shop where he played a guitar for the first time, Black Joe Lewis would have made a career for himself. With just an album on their hands in 2007, he and his band were able to jump on tour with bands like Spoon and Okkervil River. All across the U.S. Black Joe Lewis shared with listeners a fuse of blues, soul, and rock and roll. The band is composed of six members, with Joe Lewis as the vocalist. They have performed at notable music festivals such as Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Coachella, and most recently Outside Lands. The band headline the El Rey Theatre on Thursday, December 5 with supporting acts Radkey and Think No Think.
