Ty Segall is in a new band called GØGGS. Can you believe it?! We think this is his 100th new band… GØGGS featuring the unstoppable Ty Segall, Ex-Cult’s Chris Shaw and Charles Moothart of Fuzz, have shared a new single titled “Needle Trade Off.” The fuzzed out song is part of GØGGS’ self-titled debut out July 1st on In The Red Records. With vocals that sound as though lyrics are being shouted (almost chanted) through a cheerleading loudspeaker, the new track shares a similar style to The Spits’ “Let Us Play Your Party.” Hard, fast and weird, we like what were are hearing from the GØGGS. Stream the new single, and listen to two other previously released tracks below.
Don’t miss GØGGS in Los Angeles on June 16 as they perform alongside The Oblivians, The Hunches, Boss Hog, and more for In The Red Records’ 25th Anniversary party. Grab tickets here. Other GØGGS tour dates include San Francisco, Chicago and New York. View the full list below.
