Los Angeles Trio The Singles share “If You Want Me You Can Have Me” off Forthcoming Album

Los Angeles rock trio The Singles are back with a catchy new single titled “If You Want Me You Can Have Me.” The new song is part of The Singles’ forthcoming album Sweet Tooth. This will be the fourth full-length LP by The Singles and it’s set for release July 28. After touring for their last album Look How Fast a Heart Can Break, The Singles jumped right back in the studio to start recording for Sweet Tooth. The band told us “If You Want Me You Can Have Me” was inspired by navigating a one-night stand. The Singles also revealed that they had been listening to a lot of Lana Del Rey while recording Sweet Tooth

The Singles’ new album is named after the first track that was recorded for the album. The group felt that the song “became the sonic benchmark for the rest of the recording sessions,” thus becoming the title-track.

“The sound of Sweet Tooth still has our 50’s/60’s aesthetic, but combined with our current heavier, bluesy sound,” shares lead singer Vince Frederick.

Matching their vibrant tunes, The Singles’ cover art for Sweet Tooth is quite the eye catcher. Created by Ursula Glaviano, the artwork shows a leviathon (which represents the band) coming out of the black water to unleash its wrath (the newest album, Sweet Tooth). With 12 tracks, expect some good fun AF rock ‘n’ roll!

The Singles will celebrate their Sweet Tooth album release with a headline show date on July 26 at the The Hi Hat in Highland Park. Supporting The Singes are The Plexikill, Tiger Tank, and Tommy Chiffon Band. Show’s only $5!
