Moon Honey should be experienced live to fully appreciate their enchanting magic. Those who attended Zebulon’s one year anniversary show can attest to this. Their sorcery is woven into the exotic head pieces and waterfalls of fringe that adorn fairy-like lead singer Jessica Joy. Guitarist Andrew Martin competes for your attention with glamorous rock and roll contortions. Their music is fascinating and their live show completes their charm. Keep an eye out for a new song and video this week. You can experience their spell casting when they help kick off Spaceland’s Summer Series at the Levitt Pavillon June 14.
The Entire Universe closed out the night borrowing Andrew Martin’s moves on bass. Jeffertitti embodies a front man at first glance and Evan Snyder is a photographers dream on drums with plenty of hair tosses. They all come together with Jaiq Stein on keys to create a “musical moments congregation for peace sound celebration”. They are another band that should really be experienced live. After all, it’s not easy to fit the entire universe on a 7” although they have a new one coming out on Union Zero soon. They will be circumventing the world on tour later this year.
Opening was Facial who started the high energy night with all their members trading places on drums, guitar and bass.
