In addition to their upcoming show, the band has released two new singles this year, “Tu Y Yo” featuring Vanesa Martín and “Nada.”

Written as a Pride celebration anthem and to champion the freedom to love whoever you want, “Tu Y Yo” is a powerful declaration of love and humanity. Musically, the single is fun, catchy and incredibly upbeat. Latin elements add a flair to the already diverse genres and sounds found in “Tu Y Yo,” and the overall atmosphere is one of acceptance. Overall the new single is fresh, optimistic and comes from a place of understanding, compassion and of course, love.

The accompanying music video was filmed in Mexico City and features 25 different people with their own real love stories featuring intimate moments, expressions of joy, happy outings and tender feelings. Mexican transgender star Zammoa makes a cameo, as well as Youtube influencer SoyDarioGabriela OrtegaUriel Suarez and more.

“’Tu Y Yo’ is a song inspired by a story of true love,” Monsieur Periné’s singer Catalina Garcia explains. “It’s a story of a love so big that it can break through all barriers. It was written as a letter whose sender understands between the lines why they feel a certain way with their heart.”

Monsieur Periné previously released “Nada” focuses on the sour side of love and moves at a slightly slower pace. Written in the midst of a painful breakup, “Nada” evokes feelings of nostalgia, bittersweet pain and an overwhelming feeling of loss as one realizes there is no turning back to save their relationship; it is gone forever.

Both singles, plus their 2021 single “Volverte A Ver” appear on Monsieur Periné‘s upcoming new album — title and release date yet to be dropped. Together for over a decade, Monsieur Periné has created a vast and interesting soundscape with a continually evolving sound. More is to come from this dynamic band.
