We know better than anyone that finding fresh new music without relying on an algorithm can be time-consuming — why waste time slugging through stagnant playlists with the same old names? See below, three recent song releases that have been rocking our world.

TwoLips “Winonha’s Daughter”
TwoLips continues to preview her next project Monogamy Heaven with the release of its latest single “Winonha’s Daughter.” A thrilling ode to the care that goes into cultivating each new generation of femininity, it’s the kind of rallying dance track that finds its power in the robust ebb and flow of its passionate energy. One that’s centered around a fiery eruption of thrumming bass, stirring horns, and sizzling riffs — each imbued with the divine urgency of her adamant praise of the woman she descends from. Like so much of TwoLips’ music, its exhilarating tempo is matched only by its buoying fervor. This is dance music for physical and spiritual catharsis alike.
She elaborated on the single via Instagram: “i was born to a passionate n vain woman who was born to a passionate n vain woman, neither of whom were properly loved through their multiplicities. a familiar tale. if i’m blessed with a daughter in this lifetime, that’s not what she’ll observe may the gift of embodiment guide us into transcendent relation. life’s too short for anything else.”
Monogamy Heaven the new EP from TwoLips arrives on February 9th. Visit her on her Bandcamp and Instagram to stay updated on releases and tour announcements.

Kate Brunotts “Survivor’s Guilt”
Kate Brunotts lets herself sink to the comforting depths of rock bottom on new single “Survivor’s Guilt,” her first new track of the year and the second from a forthcoming EP. “It doesn’t feel right to sit here and sob / While everything’s going south,” she trills against the glow of piano keys. “My ship isn’t wrecked.”
Her resonant vocals bobbing over an oceanic soundscape of glossy tones and textures, she quickly submerges into the murkier waters, where satisfaction is as hard to come by as breathable oxygen. Suspended between opposing currents — the recognition of what you should be grateful for crushing you against the pressure of what you desperately lack — Brunotts dives poignantly to the very abyss of such listless resignation.

Henry Morris “Taste of Metal”
Henry Morris returns with an intoxicating new single for the new year, sharing the heady and breathy “Taste of Metal.” Here, yearning sensuality and smokey atmospherics merge to create hypnotic alt-pop tinted by a darkly enticing romance in a similar vein as The Neighbourhood. It’s the kind of hot and heavy slow burner that parks out in that liminal tension between anticipation and desire and fogs up the window panes. “Taste Of Metal” is an enthralling track we’ve come to expect from Morris as we eagerly await the arrival of a debut EP and/or LP.
