What We Love About Mayhem Festival
After an extended eight year hiatus Mayhem Festival’s comeback has been a long-time coming. Since its debut in 2008, the event has boasted lineups stacked with some of the biggest names heavy metal, including Slipknot, Disturbed, Mastodon, Korn, Rob Zombie, Slayer, and so many more. It’s cemented itself as a raucous space where fans can see both legends and rising bands. This year marks quite a few special occasions, like Seven Hours After Violet’s first show with Shavo from System of a Down, the first California show in over a decade for Throwdown, as well as the West Coast debuts of Peyton Parrish and It Dies Today.
And those disappointed that the traveling festival is now relegated to a single day — next year a full tour will commence that will bring Mayhem to fans around the country.
