Like a ticking time bomb, “Spin” from BIIANCO builds up––or spins up––anticipation in this stirring techno-house clash. With drums bubbling up to the surface, the tried and true house beat lays the foundation for what grows and grows with synths so electric in sound, it’s a wonder they don’t blow out every speaker they play through. BIIANCO, who practically becomes another sonic texture in the production, is able to steer the “Spin” ship forward, never slowing down or interfering with the build-up.
By the minute mark, every element of the single heard thus far comes crashing into one another, eventually intensifying into a bass-heavy groove. From then on, it’s a fast track to the top, where BIIANCO’s chopped-up vocals segue into a climax that’s more than worth the wait. However, if anything, the entire song is an impressive testament to how you can stretch out the climactic energy of electronic music, only slowing at the very end after every piece of the production has been stretched to its limits.
