As one of seven tracks from their latest collaborative album, Bad Man Back Again, out via Sin Cara Records, N8NOFACE and Stu Brooks brought the heat with their aptly titled onslaught of a song, “Something Might Get Killed.” Brooks, who serves as producer, lays down a fast-paced beat for N8NOFACE to raise hell over, complimenting the razor-sharp synths, which sound as though they’re grinding up against each other. But despite the heavy distortion and electronic instrumentation, “Something Might Get Killed” couldn’t be any more punk.

From the jump, the thundering drums slap the listener into gear, preparing them for a track with no interest in slowing down. N8NOFACE, perfectly channeling the anger in the song, screams his way through, proving he has no issue keeping up with the sound level. Everything later culminates in the final 20 seconds, where a hair-raising guitar barely discernible as a guitar–an impressive feat for Brooks–cuts through the noise, somehow bringing “Something Might Get Killed” to an 11. It’d be unwise for anyone to underestimate this duo. But for those who did, they rightfully punished them with an intense rager.
