La Femme

French psych punk rockers La Femme have released a new video for their song “Sphynx,” which comes from their upcoming new album slated for a September release.

The video is an interesting view, as you’d expect from a band that released the following statement to go along with the new video:

“Sphynx is neither a japanese influenced fairytale happening in Egypt in 3087 before J.C, nor a chemical introspection questioned by Sphynx. Sphynx may not be what Sphynx is meant to be, but Sphynx is Sphynx. Sphynx is big, Sphynx is deep. Sphynx does not exist but Sphynx is always there.”

We’ve been laying in wait for new music from La Femme ever since their stellar debut album Psycho Tropical Berlin dropped in 2013. If “Sphynx” is any indication of what is to come, it was well worth the wait. We hope to see them back in Los Angeles soon after a memorable show at the Echoplex a few years back.
