Ever lie awake at night just staring at the celling, a billion little thoughts just floating in your head? Each contemplation making you more and more uneasy. Xoller’s evocative new tune “The Darkest Hour” focuses on just that. With helpless, haunting vocals and bass booming like a beating heart, this carefully crafted track clutches you and never lets go. The stunning release was co-written with and produced by Jack Ventimiglia, a frequent collaborator of Xoller‘s. The singer reveals of the single, “The Darkest Hour reflects the anxieties that swarm in our heads as we lay awake at night. Drained and exhausted, senses heightened, the clock ticks off the minutes as we replay secrets and mistakes in a lonely loop. Trapped in a mind-maze, waiting for the relief of morning that we somehow doubt will ever come, we wait.”

The dream-pop talent creates warm, wistful music. Inspired by Beach House and Lana Del Rey, her offerings capture a lush and lingering quality that is simply spellbinding. Now more than ever with what’s happened this past year, we have all had time to self-reflect. Her latest poignant piece is a prime example of this. Though anxiousness is never a great feeling, it is from that emotion we grow, closely examining the choices we have made. Xoller’s songs are so perfectly curated and that meticulous trait has spilled over to other passions as well. Recently she has also been creating cocktails as bar director of Good Housekeeping in Highland Park. We are excited to see what is next for the Los Angeles-based artist… music and more.
