DoLaB

Those still on the fence about attending this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival might find themselves heading out to the desert with the lineup drop for the Do LaB. A staple of the festival — one of its more nostalgia-laden installations that recalls a time when it was more about the music than influencers — this year’s Do LaB will include a monumental and eclectic collection of electronic artists. Including The Glitch Mob, Flight Facilities, The Brothers Macklovitch (A-Trak and Dave1), Giolì & Assia, Carré, Samwise, BAMBII, Arodes, Michaël Brun, A Hundred Drums, and more!

Tickets for both Weekend One and Weekend Two of Coachella 2023 have yet to sell out. So if you find yourself sufficiently enticed by the prospect of spending the weekend soaking up the sun and avante-garde EDM amidst the typically mind-boggling stage of the Do LaB then this is your chance!

Last year’s immersive tent structure was a serious highlight of the entire festival and a symbol of its curator’s dedication to creating a truly spectacular space for attendees to congregate in. The stage has gotten only bigger and bigger with each new iteration — though its current one is the largest yet. Aptly named Warrior One, it boasts 53 panels of colorfully dyed fabric strung over the crowd to create a technicolor shelter from the sun. And as per usual with the Do LaB, the performances don’t just end with the music: interactive experiences and high-flying performances will take place above the crowd as well.

The Do LaB lineup will also be split across both weekends of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. So who you want to see will be a determining factor of which weekend you’ll want to attend. With tickets still available for Weekend One and Weekend Two now’s the time to make those hard decisions.

Weekend One will feature the likes of ALUNA, a Flight Facilities DJ set, Kasablanca, afro beats creator Michaël Brun, minimalist pop tech artist SOHMI, industrial electronica masters The Glitch Mob, and trap DJ Whipped Cream. Whereas Weekend Two will play host to bass explorer A Hundred Drums, Los Angeles experimentalists Carré and Samwise, electronic singer/songwriter duo Giolì & Assia, another back-to-back set with HOLLY and Machinedrum, house producer Paraleven, and emerging electronica producer DEVAULT.

Though regardless of whatever weekend you decide to attend it’s important to remember special guest appearances are just as central to the Do LaB experience. Last year saw a large number of surprise arrivals to the Warrior One stage, including Diplo, Skream, Madeon, Subtronics, and Dom Dolla. While previous years featured everyone from Skrillex and Major Lazer to Bonobo and RÜFÜS DU SOL. No matter which weekend you attend it’s going to be another breathtaking weekend at the Do LaB.
