The Kills, the badass rock duo composed of Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince, released their first new music in almost seven years. These renowned rock stars have been a force in the genre for the 21st century, and while they fly under the radar to the mainstream, those that know, KNOW how incredible this dynamic duo is on stage and off.

The Kills have set the pace once again with two new singles: “New York” and “LA Hex.” On “New York,” we hear Hince’s infectious guitar riffs dancing with Mosshart’s signature vocals, while “LA Hex” shines with some warped trumpets and an enticing beat made to seduce alongside Mosshart’s enchanting vocals.

The steamy new tracks arrive with two music videos directed by Andrew Theodore Balasia (known for his work with Prada and Jeffrey Deitch Gallery). Watch them both below and admire the artwork for both singles, created by Mosshart herself, a celebrated painter known for her ongoing series of painted-over playing cards.

Pro tip: Mosshart takes orders for her “CHOP SHOP” during the holidays.

The Kills are celebrating their recent single release with exclusive merchandise pop-up events in both NYC and L.A. On July 27th, the band will DJ at one of the many spaces within Steven Sebring’s Lower East Side studio (NYC), a renowned rock and fashion photographer and metaverse pioneer.

On August 3rd, they will host a merchandise pop-up at the legendary Viper Room in Hollywood. Fans will have a chance to attend a private afterparty with a Kills DJ set directly following the merchandise pop-up event. RSVP for a chance to attend.

A limited-edition two-track 7″ named “New York” / “LA Hex” will be available, along with autographed, limited edition, and exclusive merchandise at both events. Fans can also purchase the 7″ and new merchandise online.

And how about tour dates in 2023 or 2024 for The Kills? Only time will tell. Stay tuned.
