July 22 — Benjamin Carter at Resident

Indie RnB is constantly reinventing itself with the likes of upcoming dynamic artists — enter: Benjamin Carter, a singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, but originally from the Cayman Islands. Carter channels stories of heartache and love, addiction, gentrification, and years of racial oppression into his music. His goal is to inspire others to chase their dreams no matter how vast.  Carter’s new single “Time Again,”also the first release since the birth of his daughter — the artist pours his heart with the newfound wisdom of fatherhood. July 22 — Jagged Baptist Club at El Cid

Giving us all that garage punk energy we love, Jagged Baptist Club bring the bizarre raucous good; like real good. The LA band gets weird and loud, but with a distinct style and grace of post punk rock music that collides like a meteor falling to earth. Jagged Baptist Club slaps you in the face with esurient beats and a primal energy. Be ready to sweat and wild out with these fun-loving thrashers. July 23 — Sea Wolf, Matt Costa, Joel Jerome at Danger Bird Records

LA’s Dangerbird Records has kindly been celebrating the return of live music with free concerts at their headquarters in Silver Lake. Cleverly titled as “The Birds Are Back In Town” — Dangerbird will celebrate the second installment of their series on July 23 with a delightful hattrick of performances by Sea Wolf, Matt Costa and Grimy Goods favorite: Joel Jerome. BTW did we mention it’s FREE?

July 23 — Bonavega at The Echo

Get glamoursly weird with the electro sounds of Bonevega! Known for his vibrant live performances, get ready to dance to a robust mix of disco beats, theatrics, glam and guitars. July 23 — Peanut Butter Wolf with J ROCC

LA’s beloved Peanut Butter Wolf, part of the Stones Throw fam, is brining the old school hip hop and them some to the Lodge Room along with the infamous J Rocc (Beat Junkies founder). There will be vinyl, there will be scratching, there will be all those feel good 90s hip hop vibes for you to get your dance on! Sweat out those pandemic woes and fill your live music love tank up.
