4. Brigitte Calls Me Baby at the Lodge Room

Brigitte Calls Me Baby is definitely a band to watch in 2026. 6. Blue Note Jazz Fest at Hollywood Bowl

7. The Roots Picnic at Hollywood Bowl

Curated by The Roots, it’s always a must-see when they bring the Picnic to the Bowl. Past years have included performances by Queen Latifah, Common, Digable Planets, Lil Kim, Method Man & Redman, and more. Tickets are not on sale yet, but there are ways to snag them early.

8. The Breeders at Hollywood Palladium

August will see the alternative rock icons The Breeders in Hollywood. Kim Deal and company ruled my early 90s tape player. Don’t be the last splash. Tickets just went on sale; grab them while you can.

9. Aldous Harding at Pacific Electric

It’s been 7 years since we last covered Aldous Harding. Her sold-out show at the Lodge Room in 2019 was a rousing, beautiful doom-folk performance. This September, she will perform at the new 750-capacity venue, Pacific Electric. Don’t sleep on this show! Tickets are still available, but they will sell out.
