UPDATE: The Coachella 2024 lineup has officially dropped.
If there’s one thing the Coachella Music & Arts Festival organizers have done each year consistently, it’s keeping fans in suspense for the annual lineup drop. Coachella is no stranger to dropping hints and delaying festival lineups. Historically, January 2nd has been the lucky date for the Coachella lineup announcement (see below). However, seeing that today is Jan. 2, 2024 — it’s highly unlikely the lineup will drop.
Looking at past year’s Coachella lineups, the festival has almost always been announced the first week of January, with January 2nd being the lucky date. Three years in a row (2020, 2019, and 2018), Coachella announced its festival lineup on January 2nd.
In 2023, fans experienced quite the tease with Coachella starting their hint drops on Jan. 4, but leaving fans frustrated and impatient due to ongoing headliner negotiations. 2023 was also the same year Frank Ocean canceled on the second weekend of Coachella after delivering a lackluster set due to injury.

In the past decade, the longest fans had to wait for a Coachella lineup drop was Jan. 24, and that was for the 2013 lineup.
But if you really wanna know when Coachella will announce its 2024 lineup, all you have to do is follow them on social media. Watch for their hints and hope that all headliner negotiations are sealed and ready to roll.
P.S. Rumor has it, Lana Del Rey will headline Coachella 2024.
Coachella 2024 will take place April 12-14 and 19-21, 2024 in their usual location on the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California. The 3-day music festival will pop off on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of each weekend.
