Paige Stark can do it all. The Los Angeles-based vocalist / multi-instrumentalist is one of the founding members of indie band Tashaki Miyaki, producer to acts like Cherry Glazerr and L.A. Witch, and songwriter to records that Jon Brion contributes his talents to.

Stark recently released “Albatross,” the lead single from her forthcoming solo debut album. If you’re familiar with her earlier work, it’s a little more stargaze than shoegaze, a little more nostalgic than noisey. It’s stripped down and dreamy, Stark’s signature voice wafting through and around a melody punctuated by a twangy guitar. It doesn’t seem fair that we have to wait until the spring to hear more songs, but suffice it to say that we’ll have “Albatross” on repeat until then.
